DEPARTMENT M: GRANGE EXHIBITS

Entries will be accepted Sunday, August 24th from 12 Noon-6:00 pm

All Entry Forms Close on August 19th.

Entries must remain in place until 5:00 pm on Monday, Sept. 1st and must be removed by Tuesday, Sept 2nd by 2:00 pm. The Fair is not responsible for items left after 2:00 pm on Sept. 2nd.  Entries removed prior to 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 1st relinquish all prizes and ribbons associated with entries.



It is the wish of the Board of Directors that every Grange in the Northern Region of Vermont and New Hampshire exhibit at the Lancaster Fair.
Each participating Grange will be allotted a 4’X4’ floor to ceiling space. Each Grange may exhibit any hand made objects, home produced products and homegrown vegetables and flowers, displayed as they choose, within the allotted space. All items must be made or grown by a Granger. The theme may be chosen by each individual grange.
Also required in every exhibit will be: an American flag, the Grange symbol, and at least three photographs of Grangers at work within their respective Community. Each exhibit should identify the location to that Grange. (Example: Riverside Grange—Dalton, NH)

The exhibits will be judged upon the following criteria:
1. Effective display of Grange mission—30 pts.
2. Organization and overall effectiveness of the exhibit—15 pts.
3. “Stopping Power” of the exhibit—10 pts.
4. Does the exhibit show that the Grange is working within it’s Community—20 pts.
5. Quality of the individual items exhibited—25 pts.

TOTAL POSSIBLE POINTS: 100

Prizes will be awarded based upon the following point scores:

1st – 95 pts or greater — $200.00
2nd – 85 pts-94 pts — $150.00
3rd – 70 pts-84 pts — $100.00

Each Grange exhibit will be scored individually and the ribbon and prize moneys will be awarded according to point score.

NOTE: All exhibitors are encouraged to set up their displays on Sunday. Failure to complete the exhibit on time will be an automatic 10pt deduction in that Granges exhibit scorre.

Judge may withhold prizes for insufficient merit and remove from public view any entry or part thereof which, in his/her opinion, discredits the exhibition
